Capturing the Moment in Street Photography
Capturing the moment in street photography is an art form that requires patience, observation, and quick thinking. It's about capturing candid moments that are often unplanned and spontaneous. The key to successful in this approach is to be present in the moment and remain aware of your surroundings ready to spot what may be unfolding. This includes paying attention to the light, shadows and movement of people and other elements around you. Ultimately, capturing the moment in street photography is about freezing time and creating an image that can transport the viewer to a specific happening, be it spectacular, intimate or funny.
Our Street Photography workshops will help you with developing your observation skills relating what is happening around you, what may be coming into view very soon and the backgrounds that set the context for the shot. In addition we will advise on the settings on your camera to enable you to capture these moments based on the environmental setting you are in and your experience with a camera.

People tend not to give you the time to compose, so being ready for the moment is about awareness, planning & a bit of luck
Gestures and expressions of people make for such engaging moments we all recognise

Other people's misfortune can be a moment of humour for others, but we also make you aware of good ethics and the law in our classes
